PERCAYA

Jika aku diminta untuk memilih satu perkataan yang bermain dalam benak kepala, aku tanpa gusar memilih PERCAYA. 7 huruf digabung membentuk satu perkataan yang bila disebut dihujung lidah, ertinya berlainan dengan yang di hati. Satu perkataan jahat, menggangu gugat ketetapan pendirian dan emosi. Jika ia berubah erti, dalam sedetik dunia ini porak peranda, anak kecil kehilangan tempat tinggal, seorang isteri menjadi janda, manusia jadi tidak bertuhan dan aku mula mengeluh.

Aku mula mengeluh.

Kepala aku berpusing memandang kelajuan roller coaster di atas kepala aku. Mengagumi kelajuannya menentang arus angin, mengamati genggaman kuat si polan yang menaiki pada penghadang keselamatan, mendengar jerit pekik yang mereka tafsir sebagai keseronokan, yang aku tafsir sebagai ketakutan. Fikiran aku melayang memikirkan betapa besarnya KEPERCAYAAN mereka kepada sistem keselamatan. Jika harga tiket adalah 26,000 won dan hari itu aku menaiki 8 permainan, jadi aku kira nyawa aku ketika itu hanyalah berharga 3,500 won. Panggil aku pengecut, kerana nyawaku lebih dari itu.

Atau alasan lebih mudah, aku tidak PERCAYA.

Bagaimana untuk aku tahu apa yang aku percaya itu benar? 4 tahun yang lalu, aku meninggalkan tanah air untuk negara yang aku PERCAYA menjanjikan masa depan yang cerah untuk aku. Aku tinggalkan segalanya, untuk sesuatu yang aku tidak pasti. Aku sibuk mengejar dan kini larian aku hampir ke penghujung. Sejujurnya aku berdebar dan aku kini terlalu ingin tahu apa yang turut dirasai oleh rakan seperjuanganku. Adakah sama adakah berbeza. Jika berbeza, pihak manakah yang benar? Apa erti masa depan cerah bagiku, entah aku pun tidak tahu. Duit yang banyak? Pangkat atau gelaran? Jawatan di tempat kerja? KEPERCAYAANKU mula pudar dan aku mulai ragu. Kini yang kumahu bukan itu.

PERCAYA itu terlalu susah untuk kutemu, kerana ia hanya ada satu, dan syukur itu adalah untukMu.
